This website has been arranged into the following sections

  • A profile of Newcastle

This contains demographic social and environmental information about the population of Newcastle, where possible projections have also been provided.

The remaining JSNA has been arranged in the following sections:

  • Lifestyle and health promotion
  • Adults and Older People
  • Children and Young People
  • Health Inequalities

Within each section there are a number of subject areas, these subjects can also be accessed direct from the homepage from the alphabetical list.

Each topic area has been arranged into two sections

  • What do we know
  • What is this telling us?

Under each section there are a series of pages, these can be accessed by using the grey tool bar by going right through the panes. These sections can also be accessed on the left hand menu.

To navigate around the site you can either:

  • Use the left or right tabs on the grey bar
  • Use the menu on the left hand side
  • Use the you are here crumb trail under the JSNA header.

The box entitled Supporting Information at the top left hand side of the page contains the following information.

  • Topic Summary - this links to a pdf version of the topic in question
  • Ward Maps - If data is available at a ward level then this link will take you to instant atlas where you can see a ward map of the data.
  • Data and Trends - this will link you to an excel spread sheet of the core data set which supports the topic summary
  • Supporting Documents - This section contains supporting strategies, plans and links to other supporting documents.
